Great Wakering 1-1 Tilbury: Millar keeps his cool to rescue draw

THIS was a feisty game with both teams needing the points.
Both sides had chances to open the scoring in the first half, but both Tim Brown and Harry Girling respectively were in good form.
It wasn’t until the second half that the breakthrough came when Darnell Mavanga-Kithambo got on to the end of a free-kick in to the box to put the home side in the lead.
Rovers looked to have all three points until Tilbury got a penalty in the 90th minute when Ben Brookes handled the ball in the area. Up stepped Chris Millar who kept his cool.
