■ BASILDON took advantage of the wind, winning a first-minute corner, but Dan McCullock’s effort was saved. After 20 minutes, Basildon’s Joe Wright miskicked, with only Mat Cafer to beat, but made amends two minutes later to give the Bees the lead. McCullock was clear on goal, but his shot was blocked.
After the restart, Basildon’s Steven Sardina shot over an open goal and at the other end Ibby Kehinde lobbed the keeper and also the crossbar.
