■ THERE was deadlock at the Simarco Stadium as the two sides fought out a goalless draw in which there were few significant chances.
Ryhs Madden in the Witham goal made a brilliant save from a header by Jay Leader after 12 minutes. The strong wind made control difficult for both and they struggled throughout.
Ben Search’s free-kick hit a post after 39 minutes as Witham finished the first half strongly. Witham attacked for most of the second half, but lacked final-third quality.
