■ CANVEY Island produced a dominate display to beat Heybridge Swifts at Park Lane.
Canvey took the lead after 21 minutes when Elliott Ronto’s header from a Conor Hubble corner was saved by Callum Chafer, but not held. Michael Finneran pounced on the loose ball and smashed it home.
The lead was dou-bled eight minutes into the second half when Hubble’s free-kick was headed back across goal at the far post. The ball fell perfectly for Ronto who was unmarked, and he thumped home a half volley against his former side from eight yards.
