■ BEDFONT Sports closed the gap on the play-offs with a narrow home victory over Westfield.
The game started with a real pace to it and the home side raced into a 1-0 lead after a mere five minutes when Ricky Wellard curled the ball home from the edge of the box. That was as good as it got for Sports.
