■THE half-time introduc-tion of former Valley man Sam Hasler turned this entertaining tussle on its head as Hastings marched on towards promotion.
Cem Tumkaya headed Valley into a 31st-minute lead as he rose at the far post to head Connor Dymond’s cross beyond Louis Rogers.
Ben Pope dispossessed Valley keeper Chris Lewington before setting up Danny Parish whose effort was cleared off the line in the 60th minute, before Hasler’s free-kick from the right moments later was headed past Lewington by Tumkaya.
