BEDFONT’S push for the play-offs was given a boost in a thriller at Staines.
After surviving an early Bedfont onslaught, Staines countered with chances for Melvy N’somi and Brandon McCarthy, but Sports regained the initiative with Darryl Sanders opening the scoring from close range after 31 minutes.
A super shot from Ricky Wellard doubled their advantage six minutes later.
Skipper Joe Jackson’s 51st-minute strike was equally spectacular as Bedfont moved 3-0 ahead.
