■ BASINGSTOKE remained on course for the end-of-season play-offs thanks to a goal in each half against hosts Westfield on Good Friday.
The visitors lost George Reid to injury with little over half an hour played, but shrugged off the setback to grab the led four minutes before the break.
Ben Cook’s half-volley from just inside the box was sweetly struck, but appeared to take a nick off home defender Luke Elliott and, though goalkeeper Toby Fisher got a hand to it, he couldn’t keep it out.
