ENFIELD TOWN rounded off a superb regular season when Adam Cunnington’s early second-half goal clinched third place and a home semi-final play-off against Hornchurch.
Town needed to better Hornchurch’s result against Wingate and Finchley to leapfrog the Urchins and secure home advantage on Wednesday.
The Essex side’s surprise defeat eased the Towners task of reaching their first play-off spot in five years.
And the scenes of unbridled joy at the final whistle told their own story.
