■THE champions came to the Rec full strength looking to finish their season in style, but it was in-form Sports who set the tone.
Conner Wilks made it 1-0 to Sports after 12 minutes with a powerful header. The hosts should have added to their lead but Dan Williams saw his effort cleared off the line, and then Darryl Sanders had his effort cleared off the line as well.
Just before half-time, Jordan Esprit missed a chance for Sports when his header in the six-yard box missed the target.
