■ THE curtain came down on Staines’ half-century in the higher echelons of Non-League football in the unfamiliar surroundings of Wealdstone, who were kind enough to lend their ground for this St George’s Day loss.
Kyal Williams opened Northwood’s account in the seventh minute with a deflected shot.
Staines hit back two minutes later via Maciej Tajs.
However, corners after 21 and 27 minutes were both headed in by Matt Surmon for 1-4.
