The Kent club seemed a play-off spot shoo-in until six losses on the spin saw those hopes unravel, but Bate profited from a Lewis Hyde mistake, slotting home Tijan Jadama’s inch-perfect pass in the ninth minute.
And the visitors doubled their advantage when Miller-Neave’s cross found the bottom corner via a deflection.
