■ BISHOP’S Stortford were frustrated by struggling stalemate specialists Wingate and Finchley.
A win would have taken the Blues top. But they were held by a winless Gate side with six draws in nine league games.
Blues striker Frankie Merrifield went closest in the first half when he side-footed Ollie Peters’ low cross narrowly wide.
Ryan Charles couldn’t convert a brilliant one-touch move, beating the offside trap but firing wide from a tight angle after a Chris Harris back-heel fell to him
