AVELEY reached the Premier League summit when they overcame lowly Margate despite playing 75 minutes with ten men.
The Millers’ Blaise Riley-Shaw was yellow-carded twice in three minutes, The first, on 14 minutes, was for not retreating from a free-kick, the second, on 17 minutes, for a late challenge.
Riley-Snow’s cards were only two of the 11 handed out by a referee who definitely mistook the game, in which there wasn’t a bad foul of note, for a Christmas party.
