■ THREE weeks after Cray Valley knocked Lancing out of the Trophy, the sides met again in the league.
The hosts were indebted to some fine tackles by defender Tom Butler and some favourable offside decisions to keep the score at 0-0 until the 24th minute when a low drive from Ashley Mutongwera beat the outstretched dive of Chris Lewington.
