THE HOSTS got off to the best possible start when Alex Hernandez’s shot took a deflection and fell into the path of Callum Boylan who flicked the ball home over the visitors’ goalkeeper.
The lead was shortlived, however, as Corey Davidson levelled the score after just eight minutes.
Both keepers then made saves before Marlon Agyakwa gave Brentwood the lead in the 22nd minute.
Rovers responded well and hit the post when the ball fell to Joe Hunter just outside the box and hits shot was tipped on to the post and out for a corner.
