ON-LOAN defender Ben Steward struck twice in four first-half minutes as East Thurrock stretched their unbeaten league run to six matches with a comfortable win over struggling Gorleston.
The newly promoted visitors have endured a torrid start to life at step four, leaking 26 goals in their first nine games, the worst in the division.
And Steward, on a month’s loan from nearby Aveley, wasted little time adding to that unwanted stat, putting the hosts in front after 14 minutes.
