TEVAN ALLEN’S firsthalf goal proved decisive and ended Brentwood’s six-match winning run.
The home side had the better of the early chances, with Blues keeper Louis Chadwick saving well from Jack Ainsley’s shot and Ollie Sotoyinbo failing to convert from close range.
Allen put the home side ahead in the 17th minute cutting in from right wing and finding the far corner. Brentwood were unlucky
not to equalise just before half-time when Tom Richardson got clear and beat James Bradbrook only to see his shot hit a post.
