AFTER conceding an nearly goal, Basildon recovered and took all three points thanks to two goals from Callum Fitzer.
Ramiah Mills put the home side ahead after a good run on the right. Witham looked in control, but seemed to take their foot off the gas and Basildon fought their way back into the game with determination and good teamwork.
Rhys Madden in the Witham goal made two good saves as Basildon ended the first half strongly. Fitzer equalised on the stroke of half-time.
The match developed into an absorbing contest in the second half.
