CHIPSTEAD defied their lowly league position as they deservedly took all three points.
The visitors went close early on when Kai Hamilton Olise headed just over from a Sam Murphy corner, but Chips took the lead in the 28th minute when Jonathan Hood broke clear and rounded the keeper before tucking the ball away.
Chertsey sought an equaliser, but the home defence was holding firm.
