BURY TOWN managed only two efforts on target, but it was enough to seal victory.
The visitors opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Cemal Ramadan slotted the ball past Harry Fairs in the Rovers goal.
Callum Boylan levelled for Great Wakering in the 39th minute when his run down the right opened up space for him to cut in and bend the ball in to the far corner.
Rovers could have taken the lead before half-time, but a last-ditch goal line clearance denied Eusebio Da Silva.
