HARRY Hope’s late pen- settled a dour game alty to give East Thurrock a first league win in seven matches. Hope slotted home coolly from the spot with three minutes of normal time left after Witham’s Enock Soganile had tripped Jordan Peart. The first 45 minutes was dire with Farai Tsingano’s header from a corner on the stroke of half-time for Witham, kept out by visiting keeper Anthony Page, the only threat on goal by either side.
