WROXHAM made it four games without defeat after Shaun Taylor scored the winner on his 200th appearance for the club.
After a lacklustre first half in which neither side could create a chance of any real quality, the two sides went into the interval with honours even at Trafford Park.
But it was the hosts who would take the lead 12 minutes after the restart with Taylor getting on the end of a corner at the near post to head his effort beyond George Marsh.
And the day would eventually get worse for Basildon, as they not only left with no poin...
