■ VICKERS claimed three very valuable points in a tight relegation battle.
Soul Kader scored the winning goal in the first half following good work by Muriano Banjoko.
Banjoko had gone close to giving the home side the lead when he fired just wide.
Lancing then hit the crossbar before Kader struck.
Both sides battled for control of the midfield in the second half with Reece Gillies driving high over the Lancing bar. The Lancing keeper then made a good save from Kader as the Vickers looked to make the game safe.
