■ SIMEON Weekes 71st-minute winner for Thatcham has dented Chertsey’s play-off hopes.
Thatcham opened the scoring after 15 minutes as captain Josh Edwards steered a loose ball over the line after Chertsey failed to clear Jordan Alves’s corner.
Alves and Mo Ceesay went close to adding a second for the Kingfishers while, at the other end, goalkeeper Toby Fisher made a fine save to keepout Sam Murphy’s free-kick.
