A cagey first 30 saw Ashford have the better of possession without troubling James Dillon, while at the other end, Paul McCarthy saved well from Conan Torpey and Max Oldham.
As the half ended, Ashford forced a bit of pressure but without troubling Dillon and the half ended goalless.
