ASHFORD United contrived to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in a game played in difficult conditions, particularly in the second half.
The hosts began the game in excellent manner and were in front within three minutes when, following great work on the left, the ball was passed to Vance Bola to score.
Lancing were level in the 29th minute when, from a scramble following a corner, the ball was touched home by Tyrone Madhini.
Ashford followed this with two goals in three minutes from Tom Carlse and Bola.
