BOWERS & Pitsea claimed a big win in the race for the play-offs as they brushed aside Maldon & Tiptree at Park Drive.
Maldon’s George Smith missed a glorious chance to give them lead just before the half-hour mark, as he scuffed a shot wide at the back post.
The visitors took the lead in first half stoppage time through Solomon Addy who fired home from distance cleared a throw-in. Addy doubled his tally and Bowers’ lead with ten minutes from the spot after Matt Price was felled in the box.
