Cameron Andrews blazed Deres’ first chance over the bar after five minutes and Macey Malyon shot straight at the keeper in a 26th-minute scramble.
Malyon then clipped the top of the bar before giving Deres the lead with a similar shot just before the half-timebreak.
During a freak hailstorm, Malyon fluffed a one-on-one chance with Cameron Scott and two good chances were hit straight at defenders.
