■ GOALS from James Dunne and Gary Lockyer were another to secure Ashford all three points.
Ashford took the lead when Sheppey gave away a penalty in the 19th minute. Dunne’s penalty was saved by Aiden Prall, but the rebound went straight back to him to score the opener.
Sheppey were level on 26 minutes when Lambert escaped down the left and crossed the ball into the box for Goueth to score.
As the home side took control, a defensive mix up in first-half injury time saw Lockyer lob Sheppey’s keeper to put Ashford 2-1 up at the break...
