■ MET Police breathed a sigh of relief in their battle to stay in the league, an outstanding first-half performance securing a crucial win over Horndean.
The home side got off to a dream start in the second minute when a save by the visiting keeper from a Galloway shot pushed the ball out to Charlie Brown, who calmly poked it home from five yards to give Met the lead.
Horndean applied pressure but Met’s defence held firm and, in the 20th minute, Jamal Sharpe pounced quickly on a rebounded Galloway effort to make it two.
