■ BRANTHAM Athletic’s search for a first league win of the season continued as they slipped to a home defeat against play-off chasers Stanway Rovers.
After a cagey first half, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 65th minute when Harrison Chatting finished confidently following sustained pressure.
Brantham struggled to mount a response and their afternoon worsened when Stanway were awarded a late penalty. Nat Mardell calmly converted from the spot in the 87th minute to seal the points.
