■ WITHAM Town came out on top in a five-goal thriller at Heybridge.
Ben Allen put Witham ahead after 35 minutes, and Rowan Dorling added a second before the stroke of half-time.
Heybridge emerged from the break with determination, putting the Witham defence under sustained pressure. Witham seemed to have weathered the storm, but two goals in two minutes from Heybridge’s Ben McCrow turned the match on its head just after the hour mark.
