Tom and Tom bang drum for Merstham

TOM KAVANAGH and Tom Bird unleashed goal of the season contenders to give Merstham victory in an entertaining encounter at the Specsavers Stadium.
The visitors came close when Kegan Cole’s clever chip was brilliantly tipped over by Moatsiders keeper Chris Haigh.
Town keeper Berkley Laurencin did well to save Fabio Saraiva’s deflected free-kick on the halfhour. But on 40 minutes, Town led when a slide-rule pass played in Dernell Wynter who curled the ball into the far corner.
