LEWES missed out on the opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the table after their game against Margate at the Dripping Pan was abandoned.
As the action got under way, each side had a solid chance within the first few minutes. Ben Swift headed close from a Margate corner and Dayshonne Golding shoot into the side netting for Lewes.
The promising start failed to develop however, as the players struggled to cope with the pitch before the decision to abandon the game in the 26th minute.
