Own goal opens up Gate for Tanners

AHMED RIFAT’S 71st-minute owngoal gave Leatherhead a narrow win.
Both sides had early opportunities. The Tanners’ Steven Sardinha hit the side-neting with his first effort and fired wide again moments later before Wingate and Finchley’s Tanashe Abrahams showed a good burst of pace before also missing the target.
The hosts broke the early deadlock in the 13th minute when Sardinha and Jack Skinner combined to set up Shaun Okojie, who netted.
