JOSH HUTCHINSON’S 52nd-minute goal eased Potters Bar’s relegation fears and sealed their second win of 2019.
The defeat continued Stortford’s erratic form, virtually ending their play-off hopes.
Stortford started well with George Craddock and Luke Callander going close.
But the Scholars went ahead in the 11th minute, skipper Sean Grace heading home Sean Bonnett-Johnson’s corner off the underside of the bar.
