WORTHING claimed bragging rights in the south coast derby.
Whitehawk defender Yannis Ambroisine conceded a penalty in the third minute when he wrestled Callum Kealy to the ground and David Ajiboye smashed the spot-kick into the top corner.
In the 16th minute Jalen Jones made a vital block to deny the Hawks’ Lucas Rodrigues from six yards.
Worthing raced up the other end on the counter where Ollie Pearce squared to Kwame Adubofour- Poku who shot wide of the empty net from just inside the box.
