MERSTHAM turned this encounter around with a superb second-half performance after East Thurrock led at the break.
Merstham started well, but the Rocks took the lead in the 19th minute, Frankie Merrifield’s scuffed spot-kick rolling underneath Moatsiders keeper Mattie Pearson after a defender was penalised for holding as a corner was swung into the box That switched the momentum to the visitors.
