INVICTA took all three points thanks to a brace from from Keiron McCann and a Jerson Dos Santos strike at the BuildKent Staium.
McCann opened the scoring when he slotted home in the 20th minute after Dos Santos had squared the ball across goal.
But Brightlingsea Regent were level seven minutes later when a well-struck Romario Dunne shot deflected in off Invicta defender Matt Newman after a Charlie Lindoe corner from the right had been met at the far post before coming back out.
