MATT SLINN struck an equaliser eight minutes from time to earn AFC Rushden & Daimonds a point in a match that livened up in the second half.
The visitors took the lead after ten minutes when debutant Jamie Ashmore curled in a sumptuous strike from 30 yards out.
But despite late chances at either end, neither side could find that killer strike to hand them a first league win of the new season.
