AVELEY won through to the Isthmian Premier play off final on Bank Holiday Monday with a penalty shoot out victory over Canvey Island after a goalless draw at Park Lane.
In a tight, tense affair of few chances in front of a crowd of just over 1,000, Aveley keeper Jonathan North proved to be the hero in the shootout saving penalties from Bradley Sach and Joe Paxman with Aveley dispatching all of their kicks.
