Match Preview: Billericay Town v Horsham (Saturday, 3pm)

Billericay Town host Horsham in Saturday’s match at the AGP Arena looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Billericay, who sit third in the league after 29 games, fell to a 3-0 away defeat to Canvey Island on February 10.

They face a Horsham side who picked up a win in their last match, a 1-0 victory against Haringey Borough, and who sit eighth in the table.

With 34 goals in 26 games so far this season, Horsham are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.3 goals per game. But they are conceding fewer than average too, letting in 27 goals at a rate of 1.0 per game.

Billericay, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 0.9 goals per game.

Town are in mixed form in the Isthmian Premier Division, with three wins and three losses from their last six games.

With four wins and two draws over that period, the away side’s form is better – they have taken 14 points from 18, compared to the hosts’ nine.

In the last three years, Billericay and Horsham have played each other on three occasions. They won one each, and they drew once.

Their last meeting was on September 23, when they played out a 0-0 draw.
