Match Preview: Hastings United v AFC Hornchurch (Saturday, 3pm)

AFC Hornchurch visit Hastings United at the Pilot Field on Saturday on the back of five consecutive wins in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Hornchurch have picked up 16 points from their last six games, and they face a Hastings side who have lost their last two matches, and collected nine points from the last possible 18.

With 71 goals in 29 games so far this season, Hornchurch are the league’s highest scorers with 2.4 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 23 goals at a rate of 0.8 per game.

Hastings are also above average scorers, with 1.8 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 1.4 goals per game.

The visitors are top of the table after 29 games, of which they have won 21 and drawn seven, earning 70 points.

Hornchurch beat Haringey Borough 3-0 last time out, on February 17.
