Match Preview: New Salamis v Wroxham (Sunday, 2pm)

Wroxham travel to New Salamis on Sunday in the Isthmian League Division One North.

The visitors come into the game on the back of a win in their last match, having beaten Ipswich Wanderers 2-0 away.

New Salamis, meanwhile, lost their last match, 3-2 against Bowers and Pitsea.

With 32 goals in 23 games so far this season, Wroxham are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.4 goals per game. But they are conceding fewer than average too, letting in 34 goals at a rate of 1.5 per game.

New Salamis, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game. They have conceded 2.3 goals per game.

The visitors are 13th in the table after 23 games, of which they have won six and drawn seven, earning 25 points.

The home side are one place ahead of Wroxham in 12th, with seven wins and seven draws putting them on 28 points.

With two wins and two draws over that period, Wroxham’s form is slightly worse – they have taken eight points from 18, compared to New Salamis’s 10.

Over the last two years, New Salamis and Wroxham have played each other twice. Wroxham won one of them and they drew the other.

Their last meeting was on March 28 2023, when Wroxham won 2-0 at home.
