Match Preview: Chatham Town v Folkestone Invicta (Saturday, 3pm)

Chatham Town host Folkestone Invicta in Saturday’s match looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Chatham, who sit second in the league after 39 games, fell to a 2-1 away defeat to AFC Hornchurch on April 6.

They face a Folkestone Invicta side who picked up a win in their last match, a 3-1 victory against Horsham, and who sit 15th in the table.

With 82 goals in 39 games so far this season, Chatham are the league’s second-highest scorers with 2.1 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 56 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

Folkestone Invicta, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.5 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 1.6 goals per game.

Town are in reasonable form in the Isthmian Premier Division, with three wins and two draws from their last six games.

With five wins and one loss over that period, the away side’s form is better – they have taken 15 points from 18, compared to the hosts’ 11.
