Match Preview: Wroxham v Brentwood Town (Saturday, 3pm)

Brentwood Town travel to Trafford Park for Saturday’s match against Wroxham looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Isthmian League Division One North.

Brentwood, who sit fourth in the league after 24 games, fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Lowestoft Town on February 6.

They face a Wroxham side who picked up a win in their last match, a 2-0 victory against Ipswich Wanderers, and who sit 13th in the table.

With 32 goals in 23 games so far this season, Wroxham are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.4 goals per game. But they are conceding fewer than average too, letting in 34 goals at a rate of 1.5 per game.

Brentwood, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.8 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.7. They have conceded 1.0 goal per game.

The hosts are in mixed form in the Isthmian League Division One North, with two wins and two draws from their last six games.

With four wins and a draw over that period, Town’s form is better – they have taken 13 points from 18, compared to Wroxham’s eight.

In the last three years, Wroxham and Brentwood have played each other on three occasions. Wroxham won one of them and Brentwood the other.

Their last meeting was on November 25, when Brentwood won 2-0 at home.
