Match Preview: Brentwood Town v Brightlingsea Regent (Saturday, 3pm)

Brentwood Town host Brightlingsea Regent in Saturday’s match at the Brentwood Centre Arena looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Isthmian League Division One North.

Brentwood, who sit fourth in the league after 24 games, fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Lowestoft Town on February 6.

They face a Brightlingsea Regent side who also lost their last match, a 2-0 defeat to Felixstowe and Walton Utd., and who sit 10th in the table.

Brentwood are in good form in the Isthmian League Division One North, with four wins and a draw from their last six games.

With no wins and six losses over that period, Brightlingsea Regent’s form is much worse – they have taken no points from 18, compared to Town’s 13.

With 44 goals in 24 games so far this season, the home side are scoring more than average in the league with 1.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 23 goals at a rate of 1.0 per game.

The visitors, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.
