MID-TABLE Ramsbottom ended the season on a high as Ryan Salmon’s secondhalf double was enough to see off long-since-relagated Burscough.
Burscough finish bottom of the pile, 12 points adrift of secondbottom Goole.
They didn’t concede for the opening 45 minutes as both sides struggled to create too many clear-cut chances in a fairly even half of football at Victoria Park but, five minutes after the break, Salmon was on hand to open the scoring for the Rams.
