SEAL POUNCES FOR BARWELL

BARWELL battled their way to a narrow win over visitors Whitby giving them the perfect start to the new Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign.
The game’s only goal came 11 minutes from time when an excellent through ball from Craig Stanley was played into the path of Ryan Seal and the Canaries substitute calmly slotted the ball beyond the visiting keeper.
There was a late scare for the home side when, on 85 minutes, Matthew Tymon went close to hauling Whitby level only to be flagged offside.
